Overview
The Philippos apartments are at the southern end of Afissos. Although it is only 200 meters from the start of popular Abovos beach, it is quietly located with olive trees all around. The four studios are on the ground floor. All possess twin beds, light cooking facilities (electric rings, fridge), a TV, tiled shower room with WC, and sliding french windows opening on to a large front sun-terrace with views over the surrounding olive groves. An extra bed for a child is possible in one studio. The two apartments are both top floor and each comprises two front twin bedrooms, small separate kitchen with cooking rings and fridge, bathroom with hipbath as well as shower/wc, and large covered front balcony with views over the olive groves and, to the side, a glimpse of the sea. Furnishings are typically neat and simple, mainly of pine. To the side of the building the helpful owners have made a paved seating area under the shade of an olive tree for guests’ use. The Philippos offers a good standard of accommodation and is within a 5 minute walk of the village, the nearest mini-market and the beach, yet away from the summer bustle.
